Annette Stillson
Annette’s Beach Book Nook
During Hurricane Ian a storm surge of over 8 inches wiped it and many other stores and homes out. Thanks to the help from Binc I was able to pay my mortgage, giving me the time to concentrate on what to do next. I’m happy to say I will be opening Annette’s Beach Book Nook on Fort Myers Beach by the end of summer.

Binc provided urgent rent and utility payment assistance after a month-long bout of COVID put me in a deep financial hole. They were kind and nonjudgmental, providing me the ladder necessary to climb out of that pesky hole. Thank you Binc with a special thanks to the people who listened patiently and acted to help promptly.

A huge thank you to Binc for not only selecting me for the Carla Gray Scholarship for Emerging Bookseller-Activists but for supporting me in my gender transition. Because of you, I received gender-affirming surgery this year, which has changed my life. Thank you for everything you do to improve the lives of booksellers everywhere.
